Golf Events

Blythefield Country Club offers members a wide variety of golf events throughout the season. Some of our popular events are:

  • Men's League
    • The Men’s League is one of the most popular events at Blythefield. Players of all skill levels enjoy nine holes of golf followed by camaraderie and dinner on Wednesdays. Tee times for the entire season are assigned randomly in April so you will know who you play and at what time well in advance. We offer four different flights which are based on your combined team USGA index. We also offer a Scratch Flight (no strokes given) and an Early Flight.

  • Women's League
    • Women of all skill levels enjoy nine holes of golf followed by dinner on Tuesday’s. Tee times for the entire season are assigned randomly in April so you will know who you play and at what time well in advance. Based on the number of participants, there is anywhere from 3-4 flights, which as are based on combined team USGA indexes.

  • Club Championship
    • Sign up for a chance to be one of Blythefield’ s best. The stroke play format is for players of all skill levels for both men and women. The field is flighted by handicap and male players will have the option to play from the Black Tees or Blue Tees, while female players play from the silver tees. Players who choose to qualify for match play and the District Team will play from the black tees. After Friday & Saturday’s round the top eight players from the black tees will qualify for match play, while all other players who do not qualify fall into their own flight.

  • Blue Blazer
    • This is our premier men’s event of the summer and one you will not want to miss. The field competes in two-man teams for two days of tournament play; all for a chance to slip on the prestigious Blue Blazer. The practice round on Thursday is an optional event. The tournament starts on Friday with a best ball format. Players will have the option to participate in a morning or afternoon shotgun start. Please be aware the morning shotgun is limited to the first 30 two-man teams. Saturday’s format is a combined net total, meaning both balls count and must hit the bottom of the cup. Tee Times begin early Saturday morning based on Friday’s score. At the end of the day, we will be slipping the coveted Blue Blazers on our champions and welcoming them to the esteemed club of Blue Blazer Champions.

  • Pink Blazer
    • The theme is in the name of the event! Don’t forget to wear your pink and show your Blythefield pride. On Thursday and Friday, teams will be competing for the opportunity to be crowned Pink Blazer Champions! Following play on Friday, we will be celebrating our new champions with a casual evening of fun, food, and friendship.
