Dress Code Policies

Golf Course & Golf Practice Facilities

On the golf course, putting green, and practice range, golf attire should be in good taste and reflect the "elegantly comfortable, tastefully casual" character of the Club. Members are responsible for the attire of their children (regardless of age) and their guests. This dress code is mandatory for all players.

Acceptable attire:
  • For gentlemen: Tucked-in, collared shirts are required. Turtleneck, mock-turtleneck, and blade collars are acceptable.
  • Shorts or pants without protruding cargo-style pockets.
  • Forward-facing hats or visors
  • For ladies: Skirts, skorts, and shorts which are mid-thigh length and provide full coverage when bending over
  • Sleeveless shirts must have a collar. Blade collars, turtlenecks, or mock-necks are acceptable.
  • Metal spikes are not allowed at Blythefield Country Club.

Unacceptable attire:

  • Denim
  • Hats other than golf-style head wear; hats worn backwards
  • Ripped, torn, frayed, or soiled clothing
  • Athletic or workout clothing such as basketball shorts, running shorts, sweatpants, or non-golf joggers
  • Swim attire
  • Sport style t-shirts (e.g., Dri-FIT)
  • Plunging necklines, bare midriffs, or Y-racerback style tops
  • Visible undergarments (bra straps, boxer shorts, et cetera)

Clubhouse

While in the Clubhouse or outdoor dining spaces, Members and their guests are asked to dress in a manner befitting a private club setting. Appropriate casual attire must be worn inside the Clubhouse, in the dining rooms, and on the outdoor patio. Denim without fraying or holes is permitted inside the Clubhouse with the exception of the Clock Room. Gentlemen are asked to remove their hats while seated indoors. Bathing suits and workout attire are not permitted in the Clubhouse, dining rooms, or on the outdoor patio. If you are attending a special event at the Club, we encourage you to "dress to impress" and embrace the theme of the event.
